COMMUNITIES
One of the main focuses of our business’s social sustainability work is supporting the communities with which we interact.
This community spirit within the Nabeiro Group is intrinsic to all our employees, customers and partners, and it is for this reason we:
- Prioritise the preservation of sources by ensuring the quality of life of the people who depend on growing coffee;
- Support and encourage entrepreneurship and projects with a transformational impact on the communities in which we operate.
OUR COMMITMENTS
RESPONSIBLE ENTREPRENEURSHIP
SUPPORTING ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND PROJECTS WITH AN IMPACT
Our contribution:
As part of our work with the Delta Heart Association (Associação Coração Delta), we have developed a number of educational projects within the framework of Responsible Entrepreneurship goals:
- Alice Nabeiro Educational Centre (CEAN – Centro Educativo Alice Nabeiro) Opened in Campo Maior in 2007, this centre was created with the aim of applying pedagogical practices that promote creativity and imagination in a dynamic manner. Aimed at children aged from 3 to 12 years of age, CEAN is committed to integrated and extended teaching through innovative projects and experiences, creating conditions for the emergence of a new educational paradigm.
- “Ideas for Changing the World” Entrepreneurship Manuals Adapted to different levels of development, these OECD-recognised manuals help stimulate the production of entrepreneurial ideas and projects from children aged from 3 to 12, and young people aged from 13 to 18. These manuals are intended to help teachers acquire the skills they need to pass on entrepreneurial knowledge to the children, thereby enabling the development of project ideas.The “Ideas for Changing the World” manuals have also been used in schools that accept the challenge, and have been adopted by a number of educational establishments in Portugal and Extremadura in Spain.
